Hi, I'm Howard, and this is my personal website + project portfolio!
First, a little about me—I'm currently in the 5th (and final) year of my Engineering Physics degree at the University of British Columbia, with an expected graduation date in May 2026.
I've previously worked in Large Language Model R&D, physics research, and software/IT, so I'm eager to leverage my abilities across a variety of work environments.
I'm skilled in applied mathematics/physics, software optimization, machine learning, robotics, and website/content design—I'm always striving to learn new things, so that the Howard of tomorrow can be better than the Howard of today.
Outside of academics, I previously served as the treasurer for the UBC Mahjong Club, and I am also a former member of the UBC PHAS Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) committee.
